FOUR DEGREES OR MORE? Australia in a hot world examines the likely social, economic, ecological and political implications of the global warming trajectory we are now pursuing.

This conference focuses on the potential consequences of present domestic and international climate policy for Australian communities, policy makers and decision makers in government and industry.

FOUR DEGREES OR MORE? will look at the barriers and opportunities for averting what otherwise seems like a catastrophic outcome for this continent. It seeks to initiate a re-evaluation, in Australia, of the effort necessary to avoid extreme climate change by clarifying the likely social, economic, ecological and political costs of such warming.
